Waking up naturally

This morning I woke up to the sound of rain pitter-patting above my head as I was bundled up in my bed, nice and toasty, in a very, very dark room. I sleep in one of the high bunks in our RV, so I'm only a couple feet from the roof, and in case you didn't know this, when you live in an RV it's basically like living in a car. And we all know how good rain sounds from inside a car. So you can imagine my joy upon waking up. I didn't want to get out of bed!

Recently I read a really great article about an island in Greece, where all the residents live long healthy lives and in the story it was talking about what they do. They drink herbal teas, eat food they've grown, take lots of naps, stay up late with their friends and wake up naturally. . . .

Wake up naturally?? How do you wake up UNnaturally? That part threw me for a loop and it wasn't until a couple hours later I finally understood what they meant by waking up naturally.  I've never ever EVER used an alarm or anything to wake myself up. I've always "woken up naturally" (except for birthdays, where my family covers my bed in balloons and I wake up to flashing cameras and out-of-tune singing.), so the thought that that wasn't a normal thing for everyone was slightly shocking. And hilarious for my parents when I suddenly yelled "ohhhhh I get it!!" out of the blue.

I'm also pretty pleased to now know I'll be living a very long time, like those Greeks.

Also in random news today, it's my birthday eve! I wonder how they're going to get those balloons up into my bunk tomorrow. . . ?

Autumn is the best!

Oh what a beautiful and magical time autumn is! The trees change color, the air gets crisp and it smells sweet and perfect. We are in West Yellowstone this week and when we arrived yesterday it was so beautiful! It was warm and sunny and the air was fresh and sweet. The aspens are changing color, along with most of the other vegetation. I'm back in the mountains and surrounded by pine trees. I am so happy right now!
It got really cold last night so we had to bundle up in our beds and cover all the windows. Then this morning I woke up to the sound of the heater turning on as I was all snug in my sleeping bag. Then I got up and went for a walk with Dad. It was around 28degrees F and I got all bundled up in multiple sweatshirts and we walked around the RV park. There was frost on the grass, the air was so crisp and fresh, I think I skipped along the entire walk! We're right on the boarder of the national park, so all you see past the fence is gorgeous forest, just like my childhood home. Dad had me ask the front desk about propane and the woman there was so cheerful and nice, it's just added to my already giddy mood!
We're going to go exploring today and maybe see Old Faithful, along with so many other amazing sights! Ohhh I am just overflowing with joy right now! This is going to be a wonderful birthday week!! Maybe now that we're done moving, I'll get to work on more posts which would be a wonderful addition! Eeee happy autumn everybody, it sure feels real where I am!!

So. . Let's get started

Hello! Buongiorno! Greetings!

So I've finally gotten this all set up, just the way I like it! Woo! Pages for all my main interests, my bio, tags, gadgets, decorations, the works! I like to be organized before I start anything. Who doesn't?

So I've been wanting to start my own blog for a while. . for reasons. As another outlet for things I'm thinking about, things I've accomplished, a slightly more organized view on my life than facebook. And when my family and I were brain storming for a blog name for our family blog I came up with this name and stole it for my own personal use. Mwhaha!

You may have also noticed that everything is orange and autumny( My favorite season!!!). Since moving in to the RV we haven't had a room for a season table, so I'm going to change the backgrounds with the seasons to help me get into seasonal moods.

I'm mainly creating this for myself, though I would be over the moon if you so chose to comment and talk to me on here. I'm always open to any questions about anything I talk about.

So here's for wishing me luck on posting somewhat regularly! Here's to a new beginning!
